Clashes in Tahrir Square between what appears to be anti-Morsi protestors and his supporters.

According to Al-Jazeera Mubasher Misr channel, gunshots are heard in the Square.

Currently, dozens are protesting in Tahrir Square to topple Muslim Brotherhood rule in Egypt. The Brotherhood originally joined politics after the revolution, pacifying many fearing a Brotherhood monopoly if they supported them in parliament by stating that they would not field a presidential candidate. However, just before the cutoff for pitching a candidate, the Brotherhood announced their candidate. Morsi, in the end, won on the Brotherhood ticket.

The roads are not blocked in the Tahrir/downtown area and traffic is flowing normally. Calm was shortly restored.
