Egypt's illicit gains authority issued an order on Wednesday to ban Samir Ragab, the former editor in chief of the state-owned Al-Gomhorya newspaper, from leaving the country pending investigations.

Ragab has not been summoned for questioning by the government as state auditing authorities have yet to submit their findings on hisfile, reported a judiciary source.

The former board-chairman of Al-Ahram newspaper Ibrahim Nafei, who is currently out of the country, is also facing similar charges. Nafei's name was added to the airport's wanted watch list.
