Egypt's Administrative Court rejected Saturday the appeal filed by TV host Tawfiq Okasha against the ministries of information and investment, and the Nile-Sat satellite host, demanding his TV channel, Al-Faraeen, resume its work.

Okasha had filed the lawsuit against the two ministries for not resuming the channel's broadcast permission after a suspension order was lifted in September.

Okasha's TV channel was suspended for failing to pay the required fee to Nile-Sat, which hosts the presenter's channel.

The divisive presenter is also facing multiple counts of insulting key public figures, including President Mohamed Morsi, via his station.

On 10 August, following complaints lodged by several lawyers and revolutionary figures, Egyptian authorities accused Okasha of inciting the violent overthrow of President Morsi.

On the same day, authorities ordered Okasha's channel cease transmission for at least one month.
