Hossam Kamel, head of Cairo University, confirmed that in accordance with the court’s ruling, ministry of interior university police will no longer be present on campus and, instead, the university will have its own security. Kamel announced at a press conference on Saturday.

He added that all 5500 temporary employees have been given permanent contracts and that wages have been increased.

Kamel denied that the university spent LE6m on the doctoral dissertation reception of Suzanne Mubarak, wife of overthrown president, Hosni Mubarak.
