Supporters of Egypt's toppled leader Mohamed Morsi march in Cairo's Nasr City to condemn killings by security forces

Thousands marched in Cairo late Sunday to condemn the killing of dozens of pro-Morsi protesters a day a earlier.

Marchers chanted anti-military and anti-police slogans in the capital's Nasr City district where deadly clashes took place on Saturday between security forces and Morsi supporters, state news agency MENA reported.

Traffic was brought to a standstill, but the march passed off peacefully, MENA added.

Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood and the interior ministry have blamed each other for igniting the bloodshed on Saturday near the pro-Morsi protest at the Rabaa Al-Adawiya mosque.

Egypt has been rocked by unrest since Islamist president Mohamed Morsi was ousted on 3 July following nationwide protests against his rule. Scores have been killed and hundreds wounded in violence between rival factions.
