Hundreds of students have demonstrated in front of Cairo University to mark 100 days since hundreds of Mohamed Morsi supporters were killed by security forces in Cairo and Giza.
Police prevented protesting students and some professors from entering Nahda Square in front of the university campus on Sunday.
Protests were also reported at Mansoura University in the Nile Delta.
Morsi supporters also took to the streets on Friday to mark the anniversary. Clashes erupted in several parts of Egypt.
On 14 August, security forces dispersed sit-ins at Cairo's Rabaa Al-Adawiya and Giza's Nahda Square where Morsi supporters had gathered after his ouster from the presidency on 3 July.
Defiant Morsi supporters have since then continued to stage marches nationwide to protest his ouster. The protests gained momentum when university student protests erupted with the beginning of the school year in September.
The pro-Morsi coalition, the National Coalition to Support Legitimacy, had called for protests at the location of the sit-ins to mark the anniversary.
