Egypt's new president, Mohamed Morsi, is to meet on Sunday with the current caretaker government headed by Kamal El-Ganzouri to discuss the plan for the coming period.

El-Ganzouri's government resigned when the winner of Egypt's post-revolution presidential elections was announced. President Morsi, who was the Muslim Brotherhood's candidate, is to appoint a new cabinet. Talks are still ongoing as to who will be Morsi's new prime minister.

The state budget drafted by El-Ganzouri's government that will become active 1 July, 2012 is to be among the topics for Sunday's discussions. Importantly, they are expected to discuss the raises due to public and private sector employees.

Morsi is also expected to meet with the governor of the central bank, Farouq El-Oqda, later on Sunday.
