President Mohamed Morsi is to hold an urgent meeting with Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri on Wednesday, hours before he announces the identity of Egypt's new prime minister.
During the meeting El-Ganzouri will present Morsi with a detailed document of the obstacles his government faced over the last seven months and the problems that are yet to be solved.
In addition, El-Ganzouri will propose a plan to help implement Morsi's campaign promise to improve the country in the areas of bread, traffic, security, fuel and health during his first 100 days in office.
El-Ganzouri was appointed prime minister by the military council in December 2011, and his government has been functioning as a caretaker since Morsi's inauguration on 30 June.
During his speech at the Military School on Tuesday, Morsi stressed that negotiations on the new cabinet were still ongoing.
