Egypt's newly-appointed Prime Minister Hisham Qandil presents his candidates for the new cabinet to President Mohamed Morsi on Monday.

Qandil met with a number of candidates in the temporary Cabinet premises at the investments authority headquarters in Cairo. Shrouded in complete secrecy, the Prime Minister then went to the presidential palace.

In a statement issued on Friday afternoon, PM Qandil stated that a new cabinet would be finalised on Friday and officially announced on Saturday. The prime minister's office, however, still needed more time for consultations and postponed the announcement of the cabinet to Thursday.
