The Coptic Orthodox Church has condemned Israel’s air offensive against the Gaza Strip which has killed over a hundred Palestinians since it began on 8 July.

In a statement on Saturday, the church expressed its solidarity with the Palestinian people and called on the United Nations to work on immediately bringing an end to violence.

More than 125 people have been killed since Tuesday when Israel launched ‘Operation Protective Edge’ against the besieged Palestinian strip.

Palestinian officials say more than 135 people have been killed in the offensive, and more than 950 injured.

@JewWomen and JewMen
@JewWomen and JewMen. what happened to "ve'ahavta laraycha kamocha" "love your neighbor as you love yourself". i guess it's more preferable for you guys being war criminals than being just a neighbor. isn't it? if not, STOP being the beastly Israelis from eating Palestinian's children.

Shameful day for the Coptic Church!
Shame on the Coptic Church for condemning Israel for striking back against the rockets of Hamas, which is the attack force of the Muslim Brotherhood; Hamas, which, by its insistence on war with Israel (and on Egypt, as we know!) is the reason Palestinians cannot live in peace. Have the Coptic leaders so quickly forgotten who burned down dozens of churches a year ago? Or do they remember quite well, but are trying the ugly trick of deflecting anti-Christian hatred onto that age-old scapegoat for Christians, namely the Jews. Shame, shame, and shame again! -- Samantha Criscione

Lack of Compassion
Shame on you Samanthe Criscione for defending violence. Killing women and children will not solve the problem rather it makes it worse. Almost 200 Palestinians, most of them civilian, have been slaughtered as opposed to zero Israeli. You might want to check who started this but you probably wont. Again, shame on you.
