Hosni Mubarak's birthday still draws a reaction as supporters of the outsed president outside Maspero provoke a hostile response

Clashes between pro and anti-Mubarak protesters yesterday injured 67 people, according to the Ministry of Health.

Around 200 supporters of ousted president Hosni Mubarak rallied in Maspero, near the ‎state television building, to celebrate his 83rd birthday. As well marking the occasion, they demanded that the ousted president be exonerated of all charges levied against him.

The day turned violent when the former dictator's acolytes were surrounded by anti-Mubarak protesters who chanted against their man. The two camps pelted each other with stones before the army intervened to break up the fuss.
