Police and explosives experts rushed to the scene where they found and defused another bomb near the tracks

A bomb exploded on railway tracks in Egypt's Behera governorate Saturday, halting train services.

The bomb, tied to the tracks, destroyed parts of the railway and left a 40-centimetre (15 inches) crater, Al-Ahram website reported.

Police and explosives experts rushed to the scene where they found and defused another bomb near the tracks.

There were no injuries reported.

Halts in railway services due to planted bombs have been common in the last year and half since the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
