Deputy health minister of therapeutic medicine Adel Adawy confirmed on Monday that the wife of ousted president Hosni Mubarak is suffering from severe high blood pressure despite medication.

Adawy added that she is also suffering from a nervous breakdown and that he will be on his way to the Sharm El-Sheikh hospital to inspect her condition. He said that the Secretariat of mental health received an official request to send a psychiatrist for Suzanne Mubarak's examination but that he fears she will refuse to see a psychiatrist as her husband did before her.

Adawy said that Suzanne Mubarak is still suffering from chest pains and that as soon as her health stabilizes she will undergo cardiac catheterization.

Suzanne Mubarak was supposed to be transported to prison after receiving a 15 day detention order.
