Cairo Criminal court adjourned Monday to 25 March the trial of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and 10 others on charges of spying for Qatar, reported the state-owned news agency MENA.

The court adjourned the case to continue examining the evidence.

Morsi faces charges of using his post to leak classified documents to Qatar, with the help of secretaries and other defendants.

Egypt has accused Qatar of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, especially through its news network Al-Jazeera, but Doha has distanced itself from these claims.

Morsi is facing other trials, including one on separate charges of espionage, one for escaping from prison during the January 25 Revolution, and one for inciting his supporters to kill protesters opposed to his rule during his time in office.
