An Egyptian was killed on Saturday in shelling in Libya's eastern city of Benghazi, where Islamist militias are fighting forces loyal to the internationally recognised government, Egypt's state news agency MENA reported.
The 30-year-old man died after a shell landed on a shoe shop in the Souk Al-Hout area where he works, a provincial security source told MENA.
Following the 2011 ouster of long-time dictator Muammar Gaddafi, various Libyan militias have been fighting the central government in a civil war that has ravaged the country.
Last month, two Egyptians were killed in a similar attack in Benghazi.
Thousands of Egyptians work in Libya, mainly in the construction and craft industries.
Egypt's government has repeatedly warned in recent months against any travel to its western neighbour and advised those residing in the North African country to stay away from areas of tension.
Authorities have renewed evacuation efforts after Egypt launched in February airstrikes against targets of the Islamic State group in Libya's eastern city of Derna after its fighters beheaded 20 Coptic Egyptians in the city of Sirte.
