Temperatures are expected to drop significantly across northern Egypt starting Sunday, Egypt's Meteorological Authority has said.
The mercury hit 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday in Cairo but is expected to drop to 31 degrees on Sunday.
Dust and sandstorms that typically accompany high temperatures are also expected to subside.
