Two bombs explode in Egypt's Fayoum; no deaths

Two improvised explosive devices detonated early Wednesday inside the Civil Registry Office in Fayoum, causing one injury and damaging part of the building, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.

The Civil Registry Office is near a police station. Explosives experts searched the site and were able to dismantle a third bomb. Earlier Wednesday, at least ten Egyptian military personnel were killed when five military checkpoints in North Sinai were targeted in simultaneous attacks. On Monday, the country's prosecutor-general, Hisham Barakat, was killed when a bomb hit his motorcade in Heliopolis.
