18 injured in microbus accident in Egypt's Beheira

The injured were transferred to Damanhour Hospital

Two micobuses collided on the Damanhour-Hosh Eissa Road in Beheira governorate, injuring 18, Al-Ahram's Arabic news website reported.

The two drivers, 34 and 40, were injured, along with 16 passengers whose ages range from 15 to 52 years old.

The injured were transferred to Damanhour Hospital.

Last November, at least 18 people were killed and 18 injured when a school bus hit a truck in Beheira.

More recently, in February, five died and 32 were injured in a bus crash in Beheira.

Road accidents are frequent in Egypt due to the lack of road maintenance and loosely implemented traffic laws.
