Six Copts, including a policeman, and four Muslims were arrested after a sectarian clash in the upper Egyptian governorate of Minya.
Two of the Muslims were injured: Mohamed Abdel Hamid, an 18-year-old driver, sustained a 7 cm long wound to his head. Mohamed Ali Mahmoud, 18, was shot in both legs with an air gun. The scuffle also resulted in damages to a couple of vehicles as well as a carpenter shop owned by Christians.
Minya has a long history of sectarian strife, which surfaced weeks ago following deadly clashes between Muslims and Copts in the rundown neighborhood of Imbaba.
