Activist Loai Nagati has been released due to health concerns but his case is still ongoing, as stated his brother on twitter. Nagaty was detained during the June 28-29 clashes and is currently facing military trial.
The clashes were between the martyrs’ families and police. They started on June 28 in the Agouza district and escalated in Tahrir square and in front of the ministry of interior.
Nagati’s release came one day before the planned Friday demonstrations, dubbed “Persistence Friday.” One of the main demands of the demonstrations is to put an end to military trials.
