Six protesters start a hunger strike in southern city of Luxor

Protest against Cabinet and military council's handling of affairs escalates into hunger strike

Six protesters of the Revolution Youth Coalition have started a hunger strike in Abu El-Heggag Square, Luxor in protest against the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) and Prime Minister Essam Sharaf's obstruction of the revolution's demands.

The protesters have also refused hospitalisation.

Protesters in Luxor have been staging a demonstration in the city's Abu El-Heggag Square since Thursday.
