The board of the dissolved Egyptian Trade Union Federation is considering filing a lawsuit against the Prime Minister Essam Sharaf for his decision to dismiss their executive board.
The heads of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation say that Sharaf’s decision came in response to complaints by Ahmed El-Borai, Minister of Man Power, whose assessment they believe to be unfair.
Sharaf’s cabinet had issued an executive order to dismiss the executive board of the state-controlled Egyptian Trade Union Federation yesterday. The Union faces charges of rigged elections in 2006.
