The 6 April Movement says the Israeli ambassador should be expelled and gas exports cut, while hailing the decision to recall Egypt's ambassador in Tel Aviv

6 April Movement official spokesperson Mohamed Adel stated Saturday that the movement wholly supports and welcomes the Egyptian Cabinet’s decision to recall Egypt's ambassador from Israel after the killing of two Egyptian officers and three soldiers Thursday near the Taba border crossing.

Adel said that recalling the ambassador is the least Egypt can do in response to Israeli’s reckless action and that gas exports to Israel should also be terminated, adding that Israel should know that the political situation in Egypt has changed after the revolution.

Adel also reacted to news that the Cabinet retreated on the decision, saying that any retreat would be provocative to Egyptians, adding that “our martyrs blood has not yet dried”. He said Israel needs to be shown the limits of its power in the region.

The 6 April Movement also demanded that the Israeli ambassador in Cairo is expelled.
