Two Egyptian policemen die, one injured while attempting to put out apartment fire

Policemen died during attempt to extinguish fire as residents were evacuated

Two low-ranking Egyptian policemen from the civil protection forces died and another was injured while attempting to put out a fire in a residential building Friday in the north-eastern governorate of Suez, state news agency MENA reported.

Suez security directorate civil protection forces arrived at the scene and found that a fire erupted on the fifth floor of the building. The fire eventually spread to the sixth floor.

The two floors were evacuated  successfully, and no injuries among residents were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
