SCAF finally sets date for parliament candidates to submit their elections bid: 26 September

Democracy in Egypt will start being tested 26 September, the first day candidates can enter their bid for the upper and lower house parliamentary elections race

Egypt's ruling military council, the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, has approved a draft proposal from the Supreme Elections Committee which designates 26 September as the opening date for accepting candidacy applications for Parliamentary and Upper House (Shura Council) elections.

The statement was announced by the head of the Supreme Elections Committee.
