Egypt's defence minister discusses military cooperation with head of Sudan's military intelligence

Egyptian Defence Minister Sedki Sobhi met Sunday with the head of Sudan's military intelligence Ali Mohamed Salem to discuss enhancing military cooperation between the two Nile Basin countries.

During their meeting, Sobhi discussed with Salem issues of common concern when trying to increase military cooperation between the two countries.

The duo also reviewed the latest local and regional developments and their impact on security and stability on the African continent.

The meeting was attended by a number of Egyptian armed force commanders as well as a Sudanese delegation that travelled to Cairo with Salem.

Egypt's armed forces Chief-of-Staff Mahmoud Hegazy also convened with Salem at the headquarters of the defence ministry.
