Prosecutor General Nabil Sadek issued a media gag order Monday on investigations in the case where the head of Giza's Haram prosecution is accused of involvement in setting an evidence storage office ablaze.

The gag order will remain in effect until inquiries are completed.

On Monday, the general prosecution ordered the detention of prosecutor Mohamed Abo El-Hassab for 15 days pending investigation.

Prosecutors accused El-Hassab of facilitating the robbing of material evidence and incitement to burn it.

It is unclear what evidence was targeted by the fire.
