Egyptian meteorologists expect moderately hot weather to continue into the coming week, with temperatures remaining virtually unchanged around different governorates, state news agency MENA reported.

High temperature in the capital Cairo is forecast at 39 degrees Celsius, while a mild low of 25 degrees is expected.

In the coastal city of Alexandria, weather is predicted to be cooler, with a high of 31 degrees and a low of 24.

Upper Egypt's governorates will struggle with higher temperatures, ranging from 40 to 44 degrees.

Hot weather will result in moderate conditions for navigation in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea, with an average wave height of 1-1.5m on both days.
