Egypt's military rulers have said they will unveil a vast Egyptian flag, supposedly the highest in the world on an independent structure, Monday to mark the 38 years after the 1973 military triumph over Israel.
The flag, which should be seen by all residents in Cairo, will be hoisted in the Gezeira district at 12pm Cairo local time.
The flag will fly at a height of 176 metres and will measures 12 by 15 metres. The current highest flag, hoisted in Azerbaijan last year, flies at a height of 162 metres.
The event is sponsored by the Commercial International Bank (CIB).
