Deputy PM invited political parties to new constitution talks

Deputy prime minister for political affairs Ali El-Salmi invites all political forces and parties in a dialogue about a new constitution on Tuesday

Deputy Prime minister for political affairs Ali El-Salmi has announced that all Egyptian political forces have been invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday in order to discuss a road-map for drafting a new Constitution.

In statements to the media El-Salmi stated that all political powers , parties and personalities have been invited by the government wich stands at an equal distance from all political players in the country.

El-Salmi added that he hoped that the different political powers would reach to an agreement on the principle shape of a constituent assembly elected by the upcoming parliament to draft a new constitution.

The deputy prime minister added that the principles that will be announced on Tuesday will represent the views of all political forces to ensure the construction of a new system based on democracy.

The upcoming meeting on Tuesday will be held at the Cairo Opera house and will be attended by General Sami Anan, Chief of staff and member of the ruling military council.
