Pope Shenouda III travels to the US for medical treatment
Pope urges Egyptians to vote in upcoming parliamentary elections before departing for the US

Pope Shenouda III, head of the Egyptian Coptic Church, travelled to the United States on Wednesday for medical examinations and treatment at a Cleveland hospital. It is not known how long he will remain in the US.

Pope Shenouda celebrated being the head of the Coptic Church in Egypt for 40 years on Sunday. 

The Pope advised Egyptians to take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections before departing Egypt.
