Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi discussed with a US congressional delegation on Wednesday in Cairo the latest developments in the Middle East region, the Egyptian presidency announced.
The delegation, which had Democrat and Republican congressmen, was led by Republican congressman Jeff Dunham.
The Egyptian president expressed during the meeting Egypt's keenness on working to upgrade Egyptian-American strategic relations in all fields in the upcoming period.
El-Sisi also spoke about Egypt's political and economic reforms, as well as the latest developments in the war on terrorism in the Middle East and other challenges in the region.
