Egypt will experience hot temperatures on Sunday, with Cairo expected to see highs of 36 degrees Celsius and lows of 26, Egypt’s Meteorological Authority said on Saturday.
The coastal city of Alexandria is expected to see highs of 32 and lows of 23.
The Red Sea resort city of Hurghada will see highs 40 and lows of 29, while temperatures in Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai will range from 40 highs to 30 lows.
The Mediterranean and Red seas are expected to see moderate waves 1.5 to 2 meters in height.
The Meteorological Authority advises citizens to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun in the summer, especially between 12pm and 3pm.
The authority also advises people to drink plenty of fluids and to do any swimming in the early morning hours or a little before sunset to avoid intense sunlight.
