Egypt's foreign minister Sameh Shoukry discussed recent regional developments with Bahrain's King Hamed during a meeting in Manama on Sunday, Egypt's foreign ministry said in a statement.
Shoukry delivered a message to King Hamed from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi conveying Egypt's views about recent regional developments and their impact on the stability of Arab countries.
The talks included developments in Lebanon, Iraq and Syria, as well as the diplomatic crisis with Qatar. Shoukry stressed that Egypt that other Arab countries boycotting Qatar are holding to their position that Doha must meet their list of 13 demands before diplomatic relations can resume.
Shoukry visited Manama after concluding a trip to Jordan where he met with King Abdullah.
Shoukry is on a three-day regional tour, which also includes Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait and Oman, to discuss various regional issues, including the ongoing situation in Lebanon.
