Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday to discuss the latest regional developments, the Egyptian foreign ministry has announced.
According to a ministry statement, Shoukry delivered a verbal message from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to the crown prince.
Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed also attended the meeting.
The Egyptian foreign minister discussed with the Emirati officials recent events in Lebanon, the attack by the Houthis on Riyadh, and the bombing of a Bahraini oil pipeline earlier this week.
They also discussed the Libyan and Syrian crisis and the situation in Iraq and Yemen.
The UAE is the fourth stop for Shoukry after Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan, in a regional tour that kicked off on Sunday.
