Schools to close during Egyptian election runoffs
Schools in governorates with election runoffs to close on Monday and Tuesday, says education ministry

The Ministry of Education announced on Sunday that schools will be closed on Monday and Tuesday in governorates where parliamentary election runoffs are taking place.

Runoffs will be held in Cairo, Alexandria, Fayoum, Luxor, Port Said, Damietta, Kafr El-Sheikh, Assiut and the Red Sea.

There are 4011 schools in the affected governorates.

Schools in Maadi will open as normal as there are no runoffs in the district.
