The President of theNational Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research Hatem Ouda stated on Friday that Egypt and other Arab countries are expected to witness a complete lunar eclipse on Saturday — the second and the last one this year.

Ouda added that the eclipse will last for 51 minutes and 8 seconds. The eclipse can also be seen from Europe, East Africa, the Americas, the Pacific Ocean, the Philippines and East and North Asia. Ouda says that 2011 would have witnessed in total three solar eclipses (in January, June and July), in addition to two lunar eclipses in June and December.
