Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi discussed bilateral relations in a phone call with his Cypriot counterpart Nicos Anastasiades on Sunday evening, the Egyptian presidency said in a statement.

The two leaders discussed boosting bilateral ties as well as cooperation between Egypt, Cyprus and Greece.

President Anastasiades expressed appreciation for the "positive developments in his country’s relations with Egypt", presidency spokesman Bassam Rady said.

Egypt, Cyprus and Greece have been holding annual presidential summits in the capitals of the three countries since 2014 to boost economic and political relations.
