Hot-air balloon trips were restarted in Egypt's ancient city of Luxor on Sunday after a brief suspension the day before due to bad weather conditions, an official said.

Fifteen balloon flights carrying over 300 tourists were arranged on Sunday after authorities reported stable weather conditions, Essam Abdel-Aziz, director of hot-air airport in Luxor, told Al-Ahram Arabic news website.

All flights were cancelled on Saturday due to high winds carrying dust that posed a potential danger to balloon travel.

Egypt's ballooning industry is very popular with tourists, providing birds-eye views of the ancient temple city.
