Members of Egypt’s Special Forces departed the country on Saturday for Bahrain to participate in the joint training military drill “Khaled Bin Al-Waleed 2018” with Bahraini counterparts, a statement by the Egyptian Armed Forces said.

The Egyptian Special Forces members are set to arrive at Bahrain’s Issa Air Base, where they will prepare for the drill, which will involve the exchange of military experience and training.

“The training comes in light of the military partnership and cooperation and the coordination of efforts between the armed forces of the two brotherly countries to reach the highest levels of efficiency and combat readiness,” the Armed Forces statement said.
