The head of Egypt’s Meteorological Authority Ahmed Abdel-Aal told Ahram Online on Tuesday that unstable windy weather and rain are expected in Cairo, North Sinai and the Upper Egypt governorates of Beni Suef, Minya and Fayoum on Wednesday.
Abdel-Aal added that the weather is expected to improve across the country starting Friday.
The current cold weather, which started on Tuesday, follows a period of warm temperatures in most governorates last week, when temperatures reached 37 degrees Celsius.
Northern Egypt is expected to be cloudy on Wednesday.
Temperatures across Egypt will remain warm during the daytime and chilly throughout the night, ranging between 15 and 25 degrees.
The expected temperatures on Wednesday are as follows:
Cairo: 25-17
Alexandria: 23-14
Nile Delta: 25-16
North Sinai: 24-13
South Sinai: 27-21
Upper Egypt: 25-15
