Cabinet crackdown leaves 14 dead and over 900 injured

Ministry of Health puts figures so far at 14 dead and 926 injured

According to assistant Minister of Health Adel Adawy, the confirmed death toll of the ongoing clashes which began with a crackdown on the Cabinet sit-in, is now 14 and over 900 are injured.

Adawy also said that 926 people have sustained varied injuries since last Friday when the crackdown began. 637 of the injured were hospitalized, 543 of whom were released after receiving treatment. Of the remaining injured, 197 were treated where the injuries took place, while 92 were treated in the field hospitals around Tahrir.

Some of the casualties were killed upon being shot by live ammunition, while others suffered fatal fractures and wounds.
