Egypt's Ministry of Health released a statement saying that three people were killed and 11 others injured after a wheat silo collapsed early on Tuesday morning in the coastal governorate of Alexandria's Al Qabbari district.

The ministry said the injured have been transferred to different hospitals in the governorate, as some cases are in need of complex surgery.

"The injuries range between bone fractures, body bruises and abrasions, spine fractures and liver haemorrhage", the ministry said.

The ministry didn’t specify whether those killed and injured are silo workers inside the silo or pedestrians who were passing.
