EgyptAir flight MS 995 from Cairo to Toronto made an emergency landing on Tuesday in Dublin, Ireland after one of the passengers suffered a health crisis, according to a statement by EgyptAir.

According to EgyptAir's chairman Ahmed Adel, flight attendants administered first aid; however, the passenger was in need of more advanced healthcare.

Upon arrival at Dublin airport, an ambulance was called and the passenger was taken off the flight for immediate treatment.

A few hours later, the plane resumed its journey to Toronto.
