Egypt health minister to report on death of 3 patients in dialysis session to parliament

Egypt's Minister of Health Hala Zayed will appear before the Egyptian House of Representatives on Tuesday to give a report on the death of three patients on Saturday during a dialysis session in a hospital in the Nile Delta governorate of Sharqiya.

Prosecutor-General Nabil Sadek ordered on Saturday an immediate investigation into the deaths incident during the treatment session, which also resulted a number of infections and 12 coma cases among other patients. 

On Sunday, the prosecution team seized all of the equipment and tools and detained 15 doctors, employees, and maintenance workers at the Darb Negb hospital's dialysis unit pending investigation.

The administrative prosecution has also opened a technical investigation into the incident.
