Egypt working with Nigerian authorities to secure return of kidnapped Egyptian citizen

The Egyptian embassy in Nigeria is working with Nigerian authorities to help secure the return of an Egyptian citizen who has been kidnapped in the West African country, Egypt's foreign ministry announced on Thursday.

The foreign ministry has assured the family of the victim, Reda El-Siyad Hassanein, that Egypt will take all necessary steps to secure his return as soon as possible.

No further details about the kidnapping have been revealed.
