Egypt, Cyprus defence ministers discuss regional security

Egypt's Minister of Defence and Military Production Mohamed Zaki received on Monday Cypriot Defence Minister Savvas Angelides and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Cairo.

They discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas and efforts exerted to achieve stability and security in the region, along with military cooperation and exchange of military expertise.

Zaki expressed hope the coming stage would witness more joint cooperation while the Cypriot minister hailed continued cooperation between Egypt and his country in various domains.

The meeting was attended by Armed Forces Commanders and Cypriot Ambassador to Cairo Kharis Moritzis.
