Egypt’s Sisi, Italy’s PM Conte discuss Middle East in phone call

Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call on Friday evening from Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, where they both discussed the situation in the Middle East.

In an official statement, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said El-Sisi and Conte discussed developments in several regional issues of bilateral interest, including the situation in Libya.

They both asserted the importance of supporting the efforts being made to reach a political reconciliation to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people to restore stability and security.

The two loeaders also discussed bilateral ties between their countries.
