Egypt's Defence Minister General Mohamed Zaki discussed ways to boost military cooperation between Egypt and Pakistan with Pakistani Army Chief of Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa in Cairo on Sunday, the Egyptian armed forces said.
The military statement added that the meeting dealt with issues of common concern as well as ways to coordinate efforts at the regional and international levels.
The defence minister praised the current cooperation between Egypt and Pakistan at various levels.
He expressed hope that the next phase would witness further cooperation.
For his part, Bajwa praised Egypt and its armed forces' efforts to uproot terrorism and support regional and international security and stability.
He also affirmed his country's keenness to enhance cooperation with Egypt in many fields.
Earlier, Bajwa was received by Egypt's Army Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid where they discussed training and exchange of military experience between the armed forces of both countries.
