Egypt’s Sisi, Trump discuss Middle East in phone call

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi discussed efforts to restore stability in the Middle East with US President Donald Trump in a phone call late on Tuesday, a spokesman for the Egyptian presidency said.

The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and boost military and counterterrorism cooperation, spokesman Bassam Rady said.

They also discussed Egypt's efforts in fighting terrorism, and the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation with the United States to support these efforts, he added.
